It is the most important archaeological site in Villa de Moya, made up of a large group of natural caves in which the Canarian aborigines inhabited. Located on a 433-meter-high mountain, they were mainly used as living quarters and for grain storage. The presence of bowls and grooves in some of the cavities has led to interpreting them as places linked to religious practices. Thanks to C14 we know that the Montañeta was inhabited at least 1200 years ago.
